About Archie Built

At Archie-Built, we’re more than just a woodshop. We’re a family legacy in the making, rooted in generations of hard work, dedication, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

The name "Archie" has carried through the generations in our family as a term of endearment, affectionately used for many of the young men in the family. If you were lucky enough to be called Archie in our family, it meant you were part of something special. We like to think that its more than a name.  To us, we want the nickname to help carry on and symbolize a way of life—a life filled with values that helped to shape generations.  With values like work ethic, integrity, and the importance of appreciating what you have.  Even if you come from meager beginnings.

 

In the woodshop, this spirit lives on. Just like the Archies before us, we understand that creating something truly meaningful takes time, effort, and dedication.  Some of the elder family Archies were builders of things.  Whether it's a handcrafted tool to be used on the farm, a piece of furniture, a custom shelf, houses, cabins, or any restoration project, the family tradition of building holds its place in our hearts.

At Archie-Built we do our best to honor that way of life by making sure anything that that leaves our workshop is built with the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship that was passed down through the generations.

Our fathers, grandfathers, influencers and teachers were more than just builders, growers, mechanics and fixers.  They were and are storytellers. Each new project we take on is an opportunity to carry forward the lessons and values from our family’s history while honoring the hard work that has always been at the core of the living in the Ozarks. The name Archie-Built serves as a reminder to ourselves and our customers that, just like the name suggests, what we build is rooted in a foundation of integrity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the hands that shaped it.
